Don't you forget about "Hey Paula" Tuesday 9pm on Arena....

Well, well, well... American Idol tonight, Getting so close to having a top 12 is quite scary. Though all in all tonight's 80's themed performance show (the boys) was pretty good. Michael was preety darn good, So was David cook and Jason. We are really hoping that Luke leaves the show, So here's to hoping all you americans out there aren't voting for him to stay. Will get back to you about other's and after the girls performance show our definate top 12 pick. We definately want no Luke or Kristy Lee in there though.

We also played some Tony Hawk Underground 2 and skated round Bondi Beach, and ate KFC. It was fun.

Yay for wednesday nights! woo woo! That means Idol on fox! OMG Australians and we can say that.... wwweeiiirrdd... I'm gunna rate them out of 5 stars... perhaps on behalf of both of us though it's in blue.

Luke Menard kicks off proceedings with another sound alike version of a camp song... AGAIN... He's a feather away from YMCA this boy. Wham! Wake Me Up Before You Go Go???? Wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwhy? It makes me want to cry making a mockery of the show like this...
I love that Paula pullsa Randy and references one of her past gigs... she looks trashed tonight, make up,voice, comments- it all sounds drunk! 0 stars from me, you are the weakest link, SEE YA.

David Archuletta proves my previous comment a little more true and sings another bland song from the Matt Corby Idol Songbook. An earnest
telling of a boring song, piano playing and a little not... ala Matthew Corby, still 3 stars... Simons right, gloomy song choices aint no good, they no good, baby they no good. What a little suck up saying he thought about the people with no homes and stuff... bollocks, but the right thing to say to win votes so GOOD ON YA HAHA.

Danny Noriega is my soft spot camp vote, he has a wicked voice but hasn't really shown it yet. I like this thought, camp, fun, catchy and original. It's 80s week but I could hear this at one of our local dives. Kinda technogoth. I like, 3 and a half stars. The half stars is for the camp vote.

David Hernandez our resident gay stripper... is this a celine songs???
MEATLOAF!!! Oh yeah, forgot but did he do it originally? Dunno. If this is a celine song I kinda like that he's taken a risk but it's still boring in comparison... If it's meatloaf then I don't like it at all total shite. Celine DID sing it originally, heh... still don't like it much, boring ballad. 1 stars for the cock flashing. Last week I loved it. This week I don't at.

Michael Johns taking over from David Cook with guitar problems. Yay, BREAKFAST CLUB!!! "Is this loud enough or would you likeme to turn it up?"... woowoo...He needs to rearrange his songs thought still strong voice but if he doesn't re-arrange then he runs the risk of becoming a karaoke singer, albeit a great one, still karaoke is karaoke. 4 stars.

David Cook is one I have reservations about cause I don't like his look, I know guys who look similar to him and they all act the same! So if he loosens up, maybe smiles a bit, you know nothing Miley Cyrus or nothing, but chilaxes a bit ...oooh Hello? Is it Lionel he is singing? I liiiike.... Makesme dissappointed we dont' get to see what Robbie woulda done this week! This is great, this is what the show should be about... Kinda like this song isn't this song but a different song sung by one of the bands out there like Draughty. I only say thempurely because of the idol connection... I hate Dickleback, alot of them shit bands... at least Chris Draughty is kinda cool. But this is wickedly cool. Simon loved it, woowoo. 4 and a half stars... he loses half a stars cause of the look.

Jason Castro is my favourite so far. I've said it now, however he needs to swing more John Butler fun, surprising, unique than Dan England flatliney... Hallelujah, what is it about introducing instruments to Idol that brings out the Leonard Cohen????? His voice is cracking through this, but in a really good way, it's subtle, it's understated, he isn't taking it to the heavens but this isn't the song to take there funnily enough. Less is truly more and he's nailed it. 5 stars. And no guitar and an awesome performance!

Chikeze Eze was great last week but singing Luther Vandross in any theme show (or non theme show at that) is just song choice suicide (SCS)
Though this gyu has a strong voice, smooth, not too many licks, bit of vibrato which is strong and not puncy like 99% of male rnb singers. Last week was such a high for him, yep, definetly SCS. 2 and a half stars, keeps points for being him and keeping strong vocals but loses points for SCS.
For future reference SSC is shitty song choice heh.

So. To sum up....
  1. JASON CASTRO 5 *****
  2. DAVID COOK 4 1/2 **** '
  3. MICHAEL JOHNS 4 ****
  4. DANNY NORIEGA 3 1/2 *** '
  5. DAVID ARCHULETTA 3 ***
  6. CHIKEZE EZE 2 1/2 ** '
  7. DAVID HERNANDEZ 1 *
  8. LUKE MENARD 0
I find it interesting that there is such a big difference between David Hernandez and Chikeze Eze. Though I have a feeling the southern states will vote out Noriega, I hope he stays at the gay strippers expense. AND LUKE MENARD HAS . TO. GO. !

Time for a rollerblade along the beach, then some more PS2! WOO WOO,

See Ya, Love, WE.
